We support heart failure patients to help them live well

Story

What do you know about heart failure?

Well, that's why we are running the GNR22 to help change that.

Heart failure is a long term condition that affects approximately 1 million people in the UK with a worse prognosis than most cancers. Yet, despite that, there are no National NHS awareness campaigns to raise awareness of the signs and symptoms.

Breathlessness, Fatigue and ankle swelling......

A simple blood test can help with diagnosis and early diagnosis is key to improving symptoms, quality of life and long term outcomes.

Janine is a heart failure specialist pharmacist who is privileged to work with heart failure patients every day, ensuring they receive individualised medications to improve symptoms.

Pumping Marvellous is an amazing charity, ran by patients and producing educational material for patients and relatives/carers and their awareness campaign is truly impressive.

The core activities and strategy of the Pumping Marvellous Foundation are driven by the needs of heart failure patients, carers and family communities we serve. We get to the real crux of the problems, the problems that patients tell us they have. Our communities are large and we have superb interactions with them, we run the largest Facebook page dedicated to Heart Failure globally so we fully understand the needs and challenges they face. We develop and distribute patient information to the vast majority of NHS Heart Failure Teams in the UK.
