Aileen, Claire and Natalie are raising money for In Safe Hands the Kingston Hospital Maternity Charity.  We have decided to take part in the Palace to Palace bike ride which spans 45 miles from Buckingham Palace to Windsor Castle.  We all enjoy working as midwives at Kingston Hospital and so have decided that we want to try and earn some money for our little known and publicised charity,as the people we work with and the families we look after are amazing! We want to be able to purchase more equipment and have resources for staff to make our work environment rewarding for us, our colleagues and the families we care for.

This challenge is not something we were prepared for prior to signing up, none of us even owned a bike and we could not remember the last time we ever rode one!! So we have trained hard and aim to do the best we can for a charity that is close to our hearts.  We really hope that you will give generously to support us in a challenge that may well mean you see us walking around the wards rather stiffly once we have completed!!
