Some of you may be aware but my Mum sadly passed away aged 88 last year
I can’t lie but it affected me more than I thought as like all Mums she was a special lady

She was lucky as she had my brother Dave and I to support her; however she was a great supporter of Age UK and the charity helped her out with advice, guidance and equipment

My family have strong links with all the three services so I have great respect for all those entering or who have served in the Forces

I am Ex Forces and I have joined Age UK as a part of the befriending team speaking and listening to ex service personnel across all the services.

As such I have decided to enter numerous events across the year involving swimming, running and cycling to raise money and awareness of the services provided
