Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Musgrove Park Hospital has featured far too largely in my life recently. Both as an in and out patient. Frankly, the staff there have had to put up with far too much of my crap over the last 6 years in particular.
The League of Friends exist to provide better equipment and facilities at Musgrove, over and above what the NHS could afford to provide.
And promote voluntary services at the hospital.
No one really enjoys a stay in hospital. But if you have to be in one you can do a lot worse than Musgrove and what I found being there is that the LoFoTH have gone out of their way to try make a stay there as comfortable as possible both for the patient and their loved ones. But more always needs to be done.
It is easy to stand back, to criticise, to believe the media, to slag it off.
But to effect change, any change, people need to come together and help make that happen.
I hope you will join me in helping the League of Friends carry on with their good works and help provide the sort of facilities and treatments that we all want to have there.
Over the last 4 years I have had the good fortune to become acquainted with a large number of musicians and through these kind and generous people I am able to put on some fundraising concerts. The first of which is on 6th August 2016 at Cobblestones, Bridgwater. If you can’t attend, or just not into the music that’ll be on offer but wish to help you can make a difference by making a donation here.
