Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
So to keep it really simple, about 6 months ago I thought that I was feeling rather fit, had even managed to go on a run...it seemed so easy, in fact so easy that I decided to challenge myself by entering a marathon...then I realised that they are awfully long and that (to be perfectly honest) I would never manage a full one, so some wise individual suggested a half one. Thinking he meant a half pint I scoffed, but as he explained the real meaning, it dawned on me that I might actually just about be able to get round a 13 mile route; so long as I felt it was for a good cause.
Step in GOSH; now I am sure you will have seen their involvement in the Opening Ceremony so am hoping you will all be aware of the wonderful work that they do, but if not I would suggest watching this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oe__BA9mUb0&feature=youtu.be&dm_i=14C,XK5K,67RP2G,2SG2N,1 .
I appreciate everyone has great charities that they support, but ask yourselves this, would it not be better to spend a couple of quid to get an unfit fella (me) to splutter around a 13 mile route in true pain, whilst you stay nice and toasty at home and feel good about life?
Anyhow, many thanks for any help, it is genuinely appreciated.
Mike
