Designability is a national charity that enables disabled people to live with greater independence. We create and provide products that give people the opportunity to live the life they choose.

Story

When I found out about this charity I knew I wanted to raise money for them. I had originally planned to do something cool for this myself; however 2020 and all that jazz means I’m unable to do anything remotely physically demanding.

This is where my husband Mike who is always super fit and up for a challenge comes in. He’s going to run the MK marathon to raise money in the hopes of funding a ‘Wizzybug.’ (See the video on my page).

The total cost for a Wizzybug on the loan scheme is £4,850, they last around 5 years and are generally used by about 3 children during that time. Once one child outgrows Wizzybug it is returned, refurbished and loaned to a new child.

Just to be able to help out and enhance the quality of life for these gorgeous kiddies would absolutely mean the world to us. We’d really appreciate your donations. Even if it just means swapping the cost of a pint to donate to this incredible cause, we all get to feel good about that so everyone wins!

Thanks in advance to anyone who what’s to share this and/or donate your pocket money 😌
