Hello lovely people visiting my page,
This coming April, I plan to run the 2017 London Marathon on behalf of the English Federation of Disability Sport with Daddy Mills who has run it twice before for the charity.
To explain a little about myself....
I am currently studying Sports and Exercise Science at the University of Chichester, and I am very passionate about sport myself and I aim to give other people equal opportunities to those I have had throughout my sporting endeavours.
EFDS is very important to me because of my lovely little sister Lottie. She was born with Cerebral Palsy causing her to battle with many issues in life, however she's one hell of a girl and has always managed to fight through them. Shes managed to find a love of sport, much like myself. She has achieved great things in her sport, primarily through swimming reaching nationals and even one international meet! (so far!) All by the age of 14. Now she's also venturing off into other sports such as wheelchair rugby, aka MURDERBALL. Scary!!
EFDS have provided Lottie with the opportunities to find her love of sport and facilitate her in her journey. They do amazing work for so many disabled people giving them something to fall in love with and excel at, and also its an amazing way to create a community and give these people a chance to meet new friends and gain new experiences.
It has been found that 7/10 disabled people say they would like to be more active, and 1 in 5 people in England have an impairment of some kind (which is about 9.4 million disabled people in England!!) EFDS have the aim of making active lives possible with a vision that disabled people are active for life. And I would very much like to help make that possible through the funding received from my marathon this year.
Thank you to everyone who donates, and remember even a little means a lot so whether its £1 or £50, EFDS and I appreciate every penny :)
Thank you xxxx
