The race is in aid for charity for Lupus (SLE) (Lupus uk)
Lupus is a chronic disease that occurs when your body's immune system attacks your own tissues and organs. Inflammation caused by lupus can affect many different body systems, including your joints, skin, kidneys, blood cells, heart and lungs. Lupus occurs more frequently in women, I want to raise as much money as possible for research and treatment.

I wanted a challenge which is close to impossible. Louise In the 2010 Commonwealth Games won the gold medal in the multi-event heptathlon. She is one of the most talented athletes in the world and has kindly offered to take time out of her busy schedule to take up my challenge of a 100m race.

Sacrifcing my social life, spending 3 times a week on the track tranning in all conditions. The rest of the week in the gym. Louise has a Personal best time of 11.7 seconds. Spending the next 6 weeks pushing my body to the limit to deliver a great race. Race day is on the 25th of September 2pm.
