I lost my Dad in september 2014, because he was alcohol dependent and did not have the support that he needed. At the time I was too young, to help or to understand what he was going through. But now I can, I only wish that when he was still with me I could have helped him. Since I didn’t have the chance to help him and there was nothing he could do for himself I have decided to raise money to try and help others. This charity Blenheim CDP offers help to alcoholics, it could offer many a new start at life, it could save them and stop their familes from the devisating reality before it becomes too late. Unlike my Dad these people can get the help that they desperately need. Alcoholism isn’t a choice and it isnt easy to kick, many like my father choose to drink because they needed support due to mental health issues. Alcoholism is a much deeper reality than what many assume, this charity helps with alcoholism along with drug abuse, both of these issues can be caused by mental health.
