London Marathon 2022 · 2 October 2022 ·

We are the National Deaf Children’s Society, the leading charity for deaf children. We give expert support on childhood deafness, raise awareness and campaign for deaf children’s rights, so they have the same opportunities as everyone else.

Story

On October 2nd, I will be running the London Marathon,  flying the flag for the National Deaf Children’s Society. I am proud to be a Teacher of the Deaf working in a fantastic school, Castle Hill Community Primary School, which has a unique identity and something that makes it a very special place to be - not only for our children, but our staff too!

One of the fabulous things about our school is the specialist provision for children with hearing impairment. We truly believe that all children deserve the very best opportunities and this year I am very fortunate that the school are helping me to support the National Deaf Children’s Society - a charity that supports children and families, as well as professionals working in this field.

We will be holding some fundraising events in the coming months and would be grateful if you could support us by donating a few pennies!

Many thanks,

Rachel Suckling. (Miss Appleby)
