Hello!

Well I've managed to sign myself up to running the Great Birmingham Run, a half marathon, raising money for the Vegan Society despite only starting running in January this year!

I decided to run for the Vegan Society as it is their 70th anniversary and my 20th anniversary of being vegan. It seemed a happy coincidence and a good way to thank The Vegan Society for all the information and help they provided me with when I first became vegan.

The Vegan Society is the world's first vegan society and the originators of the word 'vegan'! They continue to do great work helping people who are interested in changing their diet, for health, animal welfare or environmental reasons. As well as helping individuals they encourage manufacturers to make more vegan-friendly goods and give guidance to caterers, schools and hospitals on providing vegan food.

All in all, a very good charity who are helping create a better society for humans, animals and the environment.
