This Ramadan, on 15th May ( my birthday) I will be raising money for Abu Zahra Foundation. I will be taking on a physically daunting challenge by running 10k while fasting 20 hours ( no food or water).  I don't do much running at all nor attempted anything like this before but I know it is for a very good cause and it will be worth it. 

Abu Zahra is an institute that meets the diverse educational needs for children in our community and has been doing so since 2001. Some of the unique features of Abu Zahra Foundation are:

- Qualified English-speaking teachers
- Successful children’s programme leading to a GCSE qualification
- Foundation-level course for students aged 11-16.
- Tarawih and Jumu’a prayers (with English khutba)

The prayer hall at Abu Zahra requires major modernisation and restoration work to be carried out. This Ramadan Abu Zahra are looking to raise £100,000 for the refurbishment fund.
