In January 2012, aged 16, I found out I had high blood pressure and from then on I had several tests which resulted in me finding out I had congenital heart disease. I was born with a bicuspid aortic valve and a damaged mitral valve and  coarctation of the aorta. I had a stent operation in January 2013 and had open heart surgery shortly after my 18th birthday in March 2013 and had my aortic valve replaced with a animal valve and my mitral valve repaired. My heart still isn't fixed and  I will be having further surgery at some point in the future. I want to raise awareness of heart disease especially congential heart disease and raise money for BHF!
