Honeypot’s vision is for every child to make the most of their one chance at childhood. Since 1996 we have been working to enhance the lives of vulnerable children and young carers aged 5-12 years by providing residential respite breaks and on-going outreach support.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

The Honeypot Children's Charity is dedicated to give young carers and vulnerable children, as young as 5, a well earned break from their caring responsibilities. Young carers provide care and emotional support to someone they love; a parent, a grandparent, or a sibling, having to adopt a surrogate adult role at home. The charity provide these children with the chance to experience a break or a few days away from their everyday lives by providing fun and exciting activities after school and at weekends. Honeypot believe that every child has the right to be a child, regardless of the circumstances they experience at home. This is why my father and I are running the London marathon to help provide the opportunity for more young children to experience the fantastic work undertaken by Honeypot.

This will be a huge challenge for both of us as I have never run 26.2 miles before and my father ran his last marathon over 20 years ago!

Please donate generously for this worthwhile cause as we have been training very hard and got a fair few miles under our belt.
