Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon 2017 · 8 October 2017 ·

The Red Cross War Memorial Children's Hospital, Cape Town, is one of Africa's first specialist paediatric Hospital. We make sure that Africa's sickest children have the access to high quality healthcare they need. Together we can give the Hospital's children a second chance at childhood.

Story

We survived it last year!

This year we are going to dominate!

Jen and Monika are running the Royal Parks Half Marathon again - and we've added youth and strength to our team - Olga!

On October 8th, we will be running the 13.1 mile route past world-famous landmarks and four of London’s eight Royal Parks – Hyde Park, The Green Park, St James’s Park and Kensington Gardens.

We are running on behalf of a charity that is very dear to Jen's heart....The Children's Hospital Trust. The Children's Hospital Trust helps improve children's healthcare at the Red Cross War Memorial Children's Hospital.  Their current projects include:
  • Milk Matters: expanding access to milk for premature babies
  • Expanding services for the surge season of pneumonia and diarrhea which kills about 1.5 million children under 5 years of age
  • Expanding the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit
  • Strengthening Child Protective Services
You can find our more about the Trust at http://childrenshospitaltrust.org.za/

Last year we raised $1,800 for the Trust. We would love to double that this year

Please consider supporting us by donating to the Children's Hospital Trust! Thank you so much!!
