Story

Moore Stephens in Bath have entered the 10K run in Bristol on the 5th May 2019. We have entered four different teams, each of which is raising money for charity. Our team have chosen to support Headway in Bristol. Headway helps survivors of brain Injury to live as independently as possible, offering support and information to them and their families.

The money raised through donations will go towards the core unfunded services provided by Headway in Bristol. This is primarily within the Carers, Community and Support Service. This service includes the staff who visit the hospitals in Bristol every week to provide support to people following a head or brain injury, as well as their families and carers. The team help families through this very difficult time, explaining to them what support they can receive. A Carer's Group is run every month where families can come together to share their experiences and learn more about brain injury. This service is vital to the support Headway provides but remains unfunded. Around £60,000 this year is needed to keep the service running at the current level.

We are looking forward to the challenge of running 10K and hope that through our fundraising we can also raise awareness of Headway and the activities and support they provide.
