Helping wildlife is very important to me because there are so many different animals struggling to survive as a result of human activity, either due to habitat destruction or poaching. There have been huge declines in the number of various species of animals across the world over recent decades, such that iconic animals such as rhinos, leopards, tigers, orangutans, pandas, elephants and even giraffes are increasingly in danger of extinction. These animals need our protection if they’re not to be wiped out altogether.

There are, thankfully, some fantastic people and organisations seeking to protect these animals. Many of the problems facing wildlife are such that a co-ordinated international effort is required, and WWF, as a global organisations dedicated to valuing nature, is one that is helping make a difference.
