Morgan Sindall Airports has put together a team of champions to compete in the Mizuno Reading Half Marathon!! 

 

On the 17 March 2013, our team of elite athletes will be running their way to their personal bests through the winding roads of Reading. The Mizuno Reading Half Marathon takes places on a flat fast course, taking in the highlights of the city centre of Reading whilst also passing through the grounds of the University campus.

The Morgan Sindall Flyers are raring at the bit to hit that road; ready to run the race in rain, snow, sunshine, fog, come hell or high water .....whatever the weather, we’ll be there!

However with over 20,000 individuals competing we need all the help we can get!

We are taking part in this event to raise money for the British Disabled Water-ski and Wakeboard Association (BDWSA).  The charity’s aim is to introduce newcomers to the sport of water skiing who, due to their disability, would not have previously considered the sport accessible.   BDWSA allow individuals to forget the restrictions of land and leave their disability behind, feeling the freedom of the water.  With expert support, specialist assistive equipment and guidance from their fully qualified instructors, individuals can take to the water and learn to water ski, whatever their disability.
