*السلام عليكم ورحمت الله و بركاته*

As-Salaam-Alaikum all - I hope this message finds you well and in good health. As many of you may be aware, very recently, Allah (ﷻ) has invited my beloved father, Al-Hajj Ismail Ali Chowdhury back to Him. I'm very grateful to have been surrounded by amazing family and friends in this time. Spending time amongst loved ones has made me truly realise that losing our parents is one of the hardest and most-testing moments in our lives. 

For this reason, I wanted to set up a collective fundraiser in remembrance for everyone's parents as Sadaqah Jariyah. With Sadaqah Jariyah translating to ongoing charity, we would humbly like to remind you that this can be donated on behalf on parents who are both still with us in the Dunya, and for those who have returned to our Raab. 

May Allah (ﷻ) forgive our parents & make their graves gardens from the gardens of paradise. May Allah (ﷻ) grant them all the highest place in Jannah, accept of all their efforts & may Allah (ﷻ) grant Sabr e Jameel to all of us. 

According to Sahih Muslim, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said "When a person dies, their deeds come to an end, except for three: on-going charity (Sadaqah Jariyah), knowledge that is benefited from, and a righteous child who prays for them.”

With this Hadith in mind, we wanted to fundraise for a project which will provide continuous benefits for both present and future generations. We will, therefore, be raising funds for completing the Raha Jarne Masjid in Bangladesh which the local communities have previously worked on however have not been able to find sufficient funding to complete the project. The incomplete mosque can be seen in the photos above, and all funds will be allocated towards flooring, lighting, tiling, wudu facilities and other finishing touches such that the Masjid can be completed and used appropriately. 

According to Sahih Bukhari, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said "Whoever builds a mosque for Allah (ﷻ), Allah (ﷻ)will build for him a house like it in Paradise", and so building a Masjid in our parent's names is one of the best forms of Sadaqah Jariyah. Please feel free to also name your parents in the donation message, and insha'Allah a personal Dua will be made in their names at the Masjid. 

According to Sahih Muslim, it is reported that Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said that "Charity does not decrease wealth", and with this in mind, we would like to remind everyone that, if possible, to please donate generously insha'Allah. Jazakallah Khair.
