Mosul Campaign 2014 · 21 August 2014

Hope for Iraq is a project initiated by a group of university students and recent graduates that attempts to address, in whatever way we can, the current lack of awareness about ongoing socio-economic problems in Iraq, whilst raising funds for specific poverty alleviation and development projects.

Story

In response to the latest and ongoing humanitarian crisis in Mosul, Iraq and the absence of organisations delivering aid and resources to those effected, we have decided to start a Mosul Emergency Campaign.

Many have been displaced and are now struggling to survive, settling in makeshift camps just outside of Erbil, and a significant number are effectively living in the open desert, and have been doing so for some weeks. As part of the campaign, we are raising money primarily for clean water, medication, first aid and hygiene kits, milk for children, and, if possible, water coolers.

The campaign will be personally overseen and coordinated by individuals from our group who are now in Erbil. Anything you can contribute towards this crisis will be immensly appreciated.
