The Wooden Spoon is a worthy and effective charitable organisation which aims to benefit children and youngsters in Britain and Ireland who are disadvantaged, either socially, physically or mentally. Much of the funds raised by Wooden Spoon are via sponsored activities, one of which is the 4 Peaks Challenge. Your generosity in contributing to this cause will be greatly appreciated.

From 23rd to 25th June 2011, 'The Mountain Goats' (aka 'Gomo Chimbudzis') will embark on the Wooden Spoon 4 Peaks Challenge. This will involve scaling Ben Nevis (Scotland), Helellyn (England), Snowdon (Wales) and Carantouhill (Ireland) in a 48 Hour start-to-finish time frame. The event will involve 14,000 feet of climbing and about 1,000 miles of driving from the top of Scotland down to the bottom of Ireland.
