Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

If you've donated before then you know my story. If it's your first time then thank you for coming this far - I really do appreciate it and any pennies you can donate in these hard times.

My main aim is to continue to make my mum proud  by doing this every year to raise awareness of heart disease.

My mother passed away in April 2000 after a short illness which could not be diagnosed and ultimately led to a heart attack. This happened to a woman who:

A) Looked much younger than her age,

B) hardly EVER took time off work.

Though it has been 16 years, it feels like yesterday and though time is a great healer, everything I do in life hopefully makes her proud. I know she is watching over me whilst tending to her heavenly garden or sipping on a glass of ginger beer (just some of her favourite things).

I hope her resilience is something I can exhibit this year in number of areas and during this 54 mile ride.

Once again, thank you for taking time to read my story and making a donation (however big or small).
