24 Hour Readathon!

Katrina Waldron is raising money for Read For Good

24 Hour Readathon! · 5 November 2021

Read for Good provides books and stories to children in hospital and to schools who really need them. We run programmes to encourage children to love reading, and provide new books and storyteller visits to 30 UK children’s hospitals. To see our brilliant work go to www.readforgood.org.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I'm taking part in a 24 Hour Readathon on Friday 5th November, where I shall be reading as much as I possibly can during 24 hours from 8 am Friday to 8 am Saturday, to raise money for the charity Read for Good.

For children in hospital, books and stories are particularly important – they comfort, distract, reassure and entertain. Read for Good provides a regular supply of brand new books along with storyteller visits to brighten up the days of children in all of the UK’s main children’s hospitals.

Children unable to leave their beds can choose books from our specially designed mobile bookcase which wheels right up to their bedside. Because they are brand new, the books are safe for those at high risk of infection.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast, and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
