We are a volunteer team who specialise in earthquake & building collapse rescue as well as providing community resilience support. On call 24/7 & funded only by your donations, we are volunteers from all walks of life, giving our time to train & help others. Please help us to continue our work.

Story

The Beacons Way Ultra is a 100mile race covering 6000m+ of elevation with a 40hr cut off.  The race starts at 6am Saturday 23rd of July at Abergavveny Castle, and I have until 10pm to make it to Llangadog Community Centre. I have decided to use the undertaking of this raise to raise funds, and awareness for SARAID.

In 2020 I joined SARAID as a USAR Medic. SARAID is a British charity dedicated to trying to save the lives of innocent victims of disaster, as well as relieving human suffering around the world regardless of colour, creed, religion and political persuasion.

This September SARAID will undergo their UN classification assessment in an attempt to achieve international recognised status as a Light International team, the first volunteer organisation in the UK to do so.

Every penny raised is spent on Search and Rescue equipment, training and transporting the team.  In addition to our international response team, we are also working with countries to provide advice and training on how to cope in the initial 24 hours of the disaster.
