Story
For the second year, I've completed a 24 hour fast with Warwick UNICEF on Campus for UNICEF’s Syria Children’s appeal.
Over 1 million children have now fled from the horrific violence in Syria. For the millions more who are still living in Syria, every single day is a struggle.
The future of every Syrian child across the region remains uncertain. Children have been killed, beaten, shot at and physically and sexually abused. They've lost homes and schools, and struggle to get clean water and food.
It's wrong that even one child should suffer like this.
Many of us have younger brothers, sisters, nephews, nieces and cousins - the idea that they could ever be in such a situation doesn't even bear thinking about.
UNICEF is working around the clock in Syria and surrounding countries to provide children with basic amenities such as clean water, food and shelter. However, resources are at a breaking point, and UNICEF desperately needs extra funding to ensure they reach every child in the region.
So please dontate whatever you can, it will make a difference to a child who's future hangs in the balance
