Calums Cabin is a purpose built beautiful countryside retreat situated on the Isle of Bute. Designed and equipped to the highest of standards, the self-catering accommodation offers peace and tranquillity for children suffering from cancer and their family. Giving children and their families time to make irreplaceable memories and spend quality time together, recharging their batteries for what may lie ahead. Calum Speirs (12) made Calums Cabin possible. Enquiries to enquiries@calumscabin.com www.calumscabin.com

Story

The Multiplex team will be undertaking the task of hiking for up to 28km a day in temperatures as low as -30 degrees as part of the Arctic Trek and we will be doing this in aid of Calum's Cabin. The trek takes us from Rovaniemi, Finland into the Arctic Circle where we will be wild camping, crossing frozen lakes and climbing hills before hopefully returning back in time to catch the flight back home.

The charity we have decided to raise money for is Calum's Cabin and was created in Calum Speirs' memory to help young people suffering from cancer escape to a cottage situated on the Isle of Bute to provide special memories they will remember forever.

We have set ourselves a target of £10000 to reach before our expedition on the 28th February 2019. anything you donate would go a long way to reaching this goal so it is much appreciated.

Currently, Calum's Cabin are aiming to renovate a property in Glasgow next to Beatson Cancer Centre. Families will be able to stay for weeks or months at a time free of charge and this will make getting access to the facility for treatments easy and simple - https://community-fund.aviva.co.uk/voting/project/view/4-3317
