Najaf to Kerbala Walk · 20 December 2013

Story

This December, I will be exceptionally lucky to be embarking once again on a lifechanging journey, travelling to Iraq to visit the holy shrines. Furthermore, I will be taking part in the walk from Najaf to Karbala - in honour and remembrance of the stand taken by Imam Hussain (as) on the desert plains of Karbala (www.whoishussain.org / http://youtu.be/capMObCpFPc / http://youtu.be/3EDItUCLE4g).

This year, I am raising money in collaboration with the World Federation (www.world-federation.org) to assist with a £137,000 project that will aim to improve water supply, food production, health, education and socio-economic status of the poor and needy in the Garissa and Wajir Counties of Northeast Kenya. For more information on the project please visit:

"To give away money is an easy matter in any man's power. But to decide to whom to give it, and how large and when, and for what purpose and how, is neither in every man's power nor an easy matter."
