Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Having been diagnosed of Diabetes and other health-related complications, having my organs fail was the most unexpected event I never saw coming. My liver failed 3 years ago and I was one of the luckiest people in the world to receive a life-saving organ within 48 hours as I had less than 5% chance of survival.

I had my transplant performed by the Kings Team and so far I have been doing very well, I have had no serious complications or anything life threatening. I was in a wheelchair for a while post transplant but my recovery is remarkable. I started working within 5 months after my transplant. I have gained my weight back, my strength and my mental stability to cope with difficult events that can occur on a daily basis. My outlook in my daily life is nothing but humble and I really appreciate life more than ever.

I am very active, I love my job and I intend to continue raising money and awareness of ‘organ donation’ as it saves so many lives and people really get their lives back. It is the most amazing gift of life one can give and please support me on this journey and make a difference to many lives. Also may I extend my gratitude towards my ‘donor’ family and other donor’s and their families all over the world as well as the Kings Team and all the other transplantation centres who work tirelessly to help saving life’s and keeping people alive and seeing them recovering until their lives feel fullfilled again.

Having gained 5 medals in 5 events at the British Transplant Sports, my next challenge is to take part in the World Transplant Sports in Sweden and represent Great Britain which I am training extremely hard for. This event will take place in June 2011 in Gotenbourg in Sweden. I hope to gain more medals and awareness in organ donation.

Thank you for all your support in advance and joining me in keeping other people alive.

May God bless you all.

Many thanks.
