Bake To The Future · 21 October 2015

Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.

Story

UPDATE 29/9/15: Thank you to everyone who has made a donation. I appreciate it enormously. I won't be taking any more orders now, as I have a limited amount of spare time.

======================================================

The Back To The Future trilogy are such iconic movies, due in no small part to the lead actor, Michael J Fox who was unfortunately diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 1999.

October 21st 2015 is the date that Marty McFly arrived in his DeLorean time machine. In honour of this auspicious date, myself and a number of other bakers are selling cookies and cakes to raise money for Parkinson's UK.

For a minimum donation of £12, I am offering a platter of cookies (approx 8-10) of various sizes in a Back To The Future theme, including UK postage. Feel free to donate as much as you are able. Even if you don't want cookies, if you can spare a few pounds, that would be great. Don't forget to GiftAid if you are a UK tax payer.

HOW TO GET YOUR COOKIES

  1. Make your donation on this JustGiving page. I will only be accepting orders up to 30th September 2015* (feel free to donate anonymously, but if you want cookies, please add your details when donating).
  2. Forward your JustGiving receipt email to madnad@mutherfudger.co.uk with your postal address. I don't get to see the address on your JustGiving account, so this is very important.
  3. Your cookies will be posted out just before 21st October 2015.

*Since I have a full time job, and my time is limited, these cookie platters will be limited to about 12 orders on first come first serve basis.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
