Thank you for supporting me in the 3 Peaks Challenge last weekend – we did it!

We set off from Base Camp, Ben Nevis at 11:40 on Saturday AM and in the following 24 hours we experienced entire spectrums of weather, emotions, energy levels, pain and hilarity, culminating in a speedy ascent of Snowdon on Sunday morning. It was truly an experience and knowing that we had so much support kept us motivated and determined.

Things we weren’t expecting included snow on Ben Nevis, gale force winds on Ben Nevis, mountain bikers on Ben Nevis etc etc , hail on Snowdon, sleepy sheep on the road to Scafell, having to climb over a fence after getting lost in the car park, just how little room there is for legs in a minibus, how suddenly ibuprofen gel can become a major part of one’s life, how amazing skittles are for energy … but most of all, I didn’t expect to enjoy it so much. It was a tough weekend but it was also an absolute blast.
