Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

I will be doing Leg 3 (in November - December), sailing 5500 miles from Cape Town (South Africa) to Freemantle (Australia) on one of the 11 boats.

Sailing the Southern Ocean is notorious among sailors, with potential for storm force winds and up to 30m high waves. There is no land mass to stop the wind from piling up the sea.

I’m doing it because it is something I always wanted to do: extreme ocean sailing on a fast boat with a committed team, experiencing the southern sky at night (all those stars!), albatrosses, whales…

The whole Clipper Race is raising money for UNICEF. The overall target is £400,000. My target is £850 but we should aim to clear that comfortably. Help me to get there.
