Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
Tourettes is seen by many to be a humourous disorder - but there is nothing funny about it for those who live with it. 300,000 people in the UK have been diagnosed with Tourettes: yet only 5-10% of these swear. The stigma and hilarity surrounding Tourettes has lead to many sufferers concealing their tics, which can lead to violent and painful tic storms later on. Some sufferers have been confined to wheelchairs, or have to wear body armour as a result of the violent tics.
Just £10 can provide vital information for a newly diagnosed Tourettes sufferer.
£100 can cover the cost of a support group meeting: allowing TA patients to meet carers.
The stigma around Tourettes has made life hard for so many sufferers: with your help, we can change this.
Please give as much as you can for this worthy cause.
Thank you,
The NCS A-Team
