We are Just Sharks and we are currently doing our National Citizenship Service, a scheme run by the government that enriches young people and gives us the opportunity to help out with issues that are important to us.

We will be participating in a social media ban to help raise both money and awareness for the mental health charity Visyon. As young people, every day we see the impact that social media has on ourselves and others. Although it can be good, social media regularly spreads negative attitudes towards subjects such as body image and personal wealth. 

Seeing this, we have decided to ban ourselves from social media for an entire weekend, to encourage social behaviour in our lives and distance ourselves from the negative effects on our mental health.

Visyon regularly runs support groups and counselling sessions for mentally ill people. They help so many people who are going through their darkest times but are a charity and therefore always rely on the help and support of you, the public, to continue providing their vital service.

So please, donate and help us support this vital charity and their fight to help the mentally ill.
