Anthony Pickering is raising money for Little Princess Trust
In memory of Grace Sanderson
The Little Princess Trust provides real hair wigs, free of charge, to children and young people who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or to other conditions. The charity is also one of the largest funders of childhood cancer research in the UK.

Story

Back in 2022, our group of detectorists came together to try and bring a little light to someone truly special—Grace Sanderson, who was bravely battling leukaemia.

As a group—and as people—we owe so much to the farming community that makes our hobby possible. Giving something back felt right, but more than that, it felt personal. Many of our members have been through similar journeys, and what Grace and her family were going through resonated deeply.

Grace sadly lost her brave battle, and the news was something none of us were prepared for. She was kind enough to send us a letter thanking us for a small gift we’d sent, and in it she mentioned how much support she received from The Little Princess Trust. She even named her wig Gloria, saying how much confidence it gave her at such a daunting time.

Reading that letter stayed with me. And I made a promise to myself that we would continue—continue to give back, continue to honour Grace, and continue to support the incredible work of the Little Princess Trust.

Through the course of the year, we will, through various ways of fundraising, raise funds to support the Trust in Grace’s memory.

🕊️ For Grace. Always.
