Story
NEPG Conference 2015 has chosen to support The Lily Foundation for research into Mitochondrial Diseases and metabolic disorders.
The Lily Foundation was founded in Lily's memory, having lost her battle to Mitochondrial Disease at just 8 months old. The charity aims to give hope, answers and support to many other children and families that face the challenges of this disease.
In February 2015, the UK changed its laws allowing for Mitochondrial Donation. This technique gives families affected by Maternally Inherited Mitochondrial Diseases the opportunity to have a baby free from the condition and eradicate the disease within that family.

The NEPG Conference is the largest annual postgraduate conference for medical biosciences in the UK and this year is our 10th Anniversary. The conference will be held Monday, 12th October 2015 at the Civic Centre, Newcastle-upon-Tyne.
