ECR was formed in 1992, it's principle role is the rescue and rehoming of unwanted and stray canines, undertaking neutering, vaccinating and micro-chipping prior to sourcing a new home.All activities are carried out on a purely voluntary basis and financed solely by self generated funds.

Please welcome our latest weeny emergency, 1 week old Hope weighing in at 254 grams. She was born with a deformity in her hind legs and was subsequently unwanted by the breeder.

Laura McAuliffe and family kindly stepped up to help by fostering her and as she is very tiny,  feeding is needed at least every two hours. We have already had several vet visits as she seemed to have digestive issues and although was hungry and eating, she wasn't passing anything. Thanks to Laura's dedication, we are hoping we have now turned a corner and she is putting on weight x  We had initially thought that she was suffering from Swimmers Syndrome but it would now appear that there maybe problems with her hock joints so surgery could be required. Without your help this will not be possible x
