Story
BBC Children in Need takes place on Friday 16th November, with the main event taking place in BBC Television Centre in London from 7pm onwards. By road, via the regional BBC centres of Glasgow, Newcastle, Leeds, Salford, Nottingham, Norwich, Birmingham and Bristol, that is over 1000 miles from the NI Science Park and we're aiming to cycle there, arriving in the middle of the TV show. We’re going to do this without leaving NI; in fact we’re not even going to leave the Science Park.
Eight IT companies from the Northern Ireland Science Park Concourse Buildings have signed up for this: Autonomy, Kana, Bytemobile, Fidessa, SAP, Parity, Northgate Arinso and NISP.
Starting early in the morning on Tuesday 13th November we're going to cycle day and night to cover the 1000+ miles - on an exercise bike. The event will be streamed live around the park, enabling all companies to watch various unfit software engineers peddling in lycra.
Please dig deep and donate now to this very worthwhile cause. BBC Children in Need provides grants to projects in the UK which focus on children and young people who are disadvantaged. They are local to people in all corners of the UK and support small and large organisations which empower children and extend their life choices.
