Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

My friends from school (Sarah, Claire, Becky, Katie, Rachael)  and I (Heather) have decided to each run 100km in November to support MND as it is a disease with a lot of unknowns and we want to help support research in addition to supporting those who are directly affected during these tough times.

Motor Neurone Disease (MND) is a rapidly progressing terminal illness, which stops signals from the brain reaching the muscles. This may cause someone to lose the ability to walk, talk, eat, drink or breathe unaided. There is currently no cure or effective treatment for MND and the average life expectancy from diagnosis is just 18 months. There are around 400 people in Scotland currently living with MND.- MND Scotland.

MND Scotland provide a number of vital services for those affected by MND in addition to helping those affected directly. They also invest millions of pounds into MND research across the UK to provide hope for a future of no MND.

We would appreciate any donations, big or small, to contribute to our total. We will be recording our km's via strava.
