After National Star was asked to consult on the 5K wheelchair route for the Cheltenham Challenge, John and I had an idea. Wouldn't it be great if we could get some of our fabulous supporters to take part, able-bodied or otherwise. We'll supply the chairs- they take on the challenge raising money for National Star and getting a sense of what it is like to race in a wheelchair. 

Well we asked, and some people said yes... and they asked if I was doing it. I made my excuses, no time to train, have to take care of my daughter, support others fundraising... etc etc. Then I thought about it, and the learners here at National Star overcome much more than time issues and physical limitations every single day... so why can't I?

So with only two weeks to the event, I will be training (with the expert help from Ed Grazier) and I will ensure that I get myself up and down the hills and complete the 5K... how quickly I do it is another matter.

So please donate and help National Star continue to give people with disabilities the confidence and skills to lead more independent lives.
