Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

This year, Gleeds is celebrating 130 years in business and to mark the occasion we are aiming to raise £130,000 for charities across the world in one week.  From 21st to 25th September, our 56 global offices will be taking part in the Gleeds Global Challenge.

Nottingham office’s Education Team will be cycling around Rutland Water for our challenge.  For a few of us, the 23 miles will be a breeze but mostly, we have not ridden a bicycle beyond the newspaper shop for years!

Our selected charity, The Gift of Sight is one which has a purpose close to us.  They support research to find new treatments and therapies for eye diseases such as glaucoma, macular degeneration and inherited retinal diseases.

We have chosen this charity because a much valued member of our team, Tim, is absent from work whilst he gets his eye problems sorted out.  Sight is so precious and we have seen at first hand, how eye disease impacts on daily life.

Thank you for your support, it is much appreciated.
