1625ip OVO Sleep Out 2015 · 12 November 2015 ·

Campaign by 1625 Independent People (RCN HMRC Registered)
Sleeping out because 80,000 young people in Britain face homelessness each year

Story

Having experienced the sharp end of street homelessness, Na has a true understanding of what is needed to help young people who are vulnerable and struggling to succeed in our cities.

He knows only too well that while a roof over your head technically fixes homelessness it doesn't address the unique situation which lead you there nor subsequent damage caused by the trauma of not having a safe place to live.

In a BBC Points West interview last year he said 1625ip saved his life and were like family.  This year he is sleeping out to support us and asked us to set up a page on his behalf. Please support him!

1625ip housed and supported Na through some difficult transitions and  Na found his feet and his mojo! Through 1625ip's volunteering projects he was able to turn those experiences into positives by getting trained to support other young people as both a Peer Educator (in schools) and a Peer Supporter. Last year he won the BRISTOL VOSCUR "Young Volunteer of the Year 16-25 year olds"!

As a long standing member of our Youth Board - Na helps us make sure we keep young people's needs as the backdrop for everything we do.

Can you help him now?

Huge, heartfelt thanks from Na!
