I am boycotting fast fashion for 52 weeks. I will not buy any new clothes, textiles or shoes that I’ll buy for 52 weeks. The fashion industry is one of the most polluting industries in the world, and I don’t want to contribute towards the warming of the atmosphere anymore than I already am in other, harder to change ways. Not when there is enough clothes and textiles already in existence that can be re-used, repaired and re-worn. I will be making a clear effort to buy much less clothing full stop, but anything I do need will be second hand. Please join me! I will be putting at least £10 a month into a pot for the charity Rainforest Alliance, who are trying to create a world where people and nature thrive in harmony - please join me in donating towards this cause by sponsoring me! Unfortunately I may have to make an except for my work uniform. I will try my hardest to source shoes second hand IF mine wear out (it’s not guaranteed as I’ll wear them out fully) but this may not be possible and isn’t likely for tights. Another potential exception may be 1 outfit for my sister’s wedding - again I will try second hand but this isn’t always possible with Asian party clothing.
