Story

This month is Baby loss Awareness month with a remembrance day on October the 15th. The death of a baby around the time of  birth  or shortly after is one of the most traumatic experiences  that any family will endure.

Sadly it is one of the most unacknowledged and misunderstood losses. To lose your baby at any time is a horrendous experience but losing a child during COVID 19 and lockdown has made this heart breaking experience even worse for so many, including our own family.

As the country went into lockdown in March, our beautiful son Josiah passed away in our arms he was just 2 days old. Its very difficult to find the words to explain the depth of the pain and loss we feel without our son, the emptiness, the isolation, the soul piercing sorrow and loneliness, every part of your being is affected by this pain and sadness and you have no control over it.

Josiah will forever be our son, we will always love him. Josiah was our little miracle and brought us such joy and love in his little lifetime. With the help of Feileacain we were able to preserve so many precious memories of Josiah, for that we will be forever grateful.

We are asking you to make a donation no matter how small to  Feileacain. Help them support bereaved parents and families through this difficult time. Resources are low with the affect of Covid 19 on fundraising activities.

Go on give a little or alot  even the price of a coffee ,you would buy a friend in need a coffee wouldn’t you ? Donate and you could win a giant cuddly teddy bear..🐻

To be in with a chance of winning a giant bear pick a name for the bear in memory of Josiah. At the time of donation insert your chosen teddy name  in the message box. The best name will win a bear just like ours ( see pic in gallery). Our daughter Amberly who is the teddy bear expert in our house ..will be picking the best name.

Don’t forget to leave your contact details when prompted so we can contact you should your teddy name be selected.👍

Winner will be announced after our campaign ends in 30 days 7 th November. Enter and donate as many times as you like  : )

Thank you,

Rose, Pádraig, Amberly & Angel Josiah xx
