Story
As you all know our precious Izzy became seriously ill at the end of Oct 2017. Izzy was in a coma for what seemed like forever, it took the drs 4 days to diagnose Izzy with Encephalitis. We'd never heard of it! Izzy was in hospital over 2 months initially, she had to learn to stand, walk, use her hands, feed herself and communicate again you name it this little girl conquered it 👊 she came home just before christmas day, we were delighted. We thought we were on the home run when Izzy started phased return at school. The drs said after 2 years we'd see more of the old Izzy. We were just so happy with her progress she was singing, dancing & writing her own songs. End of Jan we noticed Izzy was becoming aggertaited, short tempered, just different. We were told it was symptoms of her recovery 'brain trauma' We knew it wasn't luckily Ben & Mads persisted! poor Izzy!! after tests she was diagnosed with another strain of Encephalitis 'autoimmune' and she has pretty much been in St Marys hospital since. Encephalitis is rare we were so lucky a Dr at Royal London had a hunch she had 1 of 3 illnesses and treated her for all 3 straight away whilst she was diagnosed. People reading this please google Encephalitis understand the symptoms and share our story! Help save another little Izzy!
Izzy, Lily & Daisy want to raise awareness by running the Ealing Mini Mile dig deep and feel free to cheer them on! Thank you ❤
