Thank you for visiting my page.   I started running in January 2017 and since then I have run a couple of half marathons and also a full marathon in Amsterdam.

My next challenge is to run a half marathon in the Himalayas - the Thunder Dragon Half Marathon in Paro, Bhutan on 27 May 2018.  I feel just about ready to take on my first race off road, in the hills and at altitude...

After that, I am planning to run the Reykjavik half marathon in August 2018 - I thought it would be fun to see how much easier it would be to run a race at an altitude of 30 metres above sea-level shortly after running one at 2500 metres!

This time I have decided to fundraise for a small charity called 'Opening your heart to Bhutan' which is a UK based charity which helps children with special needs in isolated rural communities in eastern Bhutan providing access to medical care, disability aids and basic amenities that they could not otherwise afford.

For some children it makes the difference between being housebound and living fulfilling lives within the local community.
