STORY

On 29 February 2020, I will be taking on Walkie Talkie Tower Climb to raise money to help seriously ill children at London's famous Great Ormond Street Hospital. 896 steps over 36 floors to one of my favourite green spaces in London - Sky Garden.

My youngest daughter has been GOSH's patient and benefited from their amazing care since she was 3. Coincidentally, after our very 1st visit to the hospital, to cheer up our brave little patient, we went on our very 1st visit to Walkie Talkie's Sky Garden, which had just opened to general public. She is a perfectly healthy 8 year-old now, who is developing as she should be, enjoying her ski racing, and we only return to GOSH every 2-3 years for monitoring, but I always look for ways to support the hospital's amazing work, esp. when they are as fun as this one!

For extra fun, I will be doing the Climb more or less straight off the flight from Phoenix AZ, arriving back from my business trip the day before, so throwing in jet lag and 7 hours' time difference for a different way to decompress and stretch my legs! As GOSH's most famous resident would say, "All you need is a little faith, trust, and pixie dust."

But really any excuse to go back up one of my favourite venues in London!

Please support me in helping GOSH shape a better future for seriously ill children.

This extraordinary hospital has always depended on charitable support to give its patients the best chance in their little lives. By contributing, you'll help to fund ground-breaking research, advanced equipment, children and family support services and the rebuilding and refurbishment of wards and medical facilities within the hospital.

Every pound counts and gives the 619 seriously ill children who arrive at Great Ormond Street Hospital from all around the world every day the best chance to fulfil their potential.

A better future for seriously ill children starts here.
