Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Eight years ago on 7 June 2011 I went into premature labour and gave birth to my second child, my son Joshua. Born at just 23 weeks and weighing little more than a bag of sugar with hands the size of my thumb but perfect in each and every way. I got to hold him for a moment before he passed away. Since then I have struggled to think of a way to mark the very big footprint he left on our hearts but nothing ever felt right, I didn’t want a bench a tree or a plaque on a wall somewhere. I have decided that I would like to do something positive and that is raising money for Tommy’s. Anyone who know me knows I have never been a runner, but recently my friend asked me to start the couch to 5k with her and have enjoyed it so much.
Soooooo going from a non runner I will be running the Rainford 10K in October, and the Liverpool Rock N Roll half marathon on 24 May 2020. I have also requested a place in the Tommy’s London’s Landmark half marathon on 26 March 2020. My aim is to raise £500 to help Tommy’s in the vital pregnancy research they carry out and the support they offer to families affected by premature birth and with subsequent rainbow pregnancies. Thankyou for reading! I will let you know how the training is going!
