I have decided to try and raise for a charity that helps children.
As most of my friends and family will know.My daughter Holly was diagnosed with a rare condition called hirshsprungs disease at 2 days old.
Hirshsprungs disease is a condition that only 1 in 5000 children affect.
This is where a small or large part of the bowel has no nerve endings and does not function.As a result it will have to be removed which can leave the child with many further problems such severe constipation or the opposite.
In many cases like Hollys she had to have a colostomy until she was old enough and strong enough to undertake the major surgery of removing 55cm her large intestine.
From then on she suffered from extremely lose stool which resulted in a severe nappy rash.For 12 months her bottom had flesh wounds which were very painfull for Her.
Now at age 2 she is making brilliant progress!
I wish I would have had more support for my daughter during the past two years.Which makes me want to support other children and if that means walking 13 miles...then I'm up for it!
