Personally, I am raising money for this charity to raise awareness. A very special family to me have had first hand experience of how much Great Ormond Street Hospital has helped them in so many ways. I have a little snippet from this family friend letting you guys know just how much they have helped her family. And this is the real reason why I want to support this charity. Raise awareness and raise money to help. 

“Having witnessed 1st hand the miraculous work GOSH do it's a no brainer that I would support them. On 5th April 2000 my youngest daughter Elly was taken by ambulance from Portsmouth to London for a life saving op at 3am for a condition called intersuception, her bowel had folded inside itself, much like a telescope. Without the surgeons at GOSH she would be no longer with us.
Fast forward 19 years all but 1 month and my granddaughter Beau was born with a condition called bladder extrophy, this was totally unexpected and within 48 hours was taken in her incubator by ambulance to GOSH.
She underwent a four and half hour operation at four days old had to have her bladder put back in the right way ( it was inside out ) and back inside her body. She then had 3 month check ups until she was 2. She then underwent a five hour operation to put a neck on her bladder, also to give her a belly button  and do a lot of cosmetic surgery.
Coincidentally, it was exactly the same ward as elly was on 19 years earlier. 
Beau will be under their care until she is an adult.
We can never repay what they done for us.”
