Story
On the 7th September 2014 I will be running the Cheltenham Half Marathon to raise money for the National Deaf Children Society Charity.
Being hearing impaired and having hearing aids myself I know what its like to go through struggles and also I know the struggle my family has to go through as well. The NDCS is a charity that is there for deaf children and the families of deaf children to help and support them through life.
NDCS is the leading charity dedicated to creating a world without barriers for deaf children and young people. NDCS is an organisation that relies on the generosity of people like us to fund its vital services. They want to make the future brighter for deaf children and they need our help to do that. They offer free information and support to families with a deaf child, they give children the opportunity to take part in activities that they can sometimes be excluded from such as football or joining a club, by offering deaf-friendly training to leisure organisations that work with children.
The money raised will make a huge difference to deaf children across the UK, as well as raising awareness of childhood deafness.
